ADHD Awareness Month: Resources for Families, Educators, and Adults
By Lindsey Lipsky, M.Ed., CNP | NeuroInclusive Consulting

October is ADHD Awareness Month. As someone who’s an advocate, educator, wife, and mom of three, I’ve got a personal connection to ADHD. People are talking about ADHD more these days, but just because it’s talked about doesn’t mean everyone gets it.
For many years, ADHD was viewed mainly from a deficit perspective. However, as acceptance, understanding, and research have progressed, it is now recognized that viewing ADHD through a neuroaffirming lens results in improved outcomes for everyone. By adjusting our environments, along with our approaches to parenting, teaching, or working, we can enhance daily life and learning for all.
At NeuroInclusive Consulting, my focus is on understanding ADHD from a neuroaffirming perspective. This involves listening to individual experiences, acknowledging both strengths and support needs, and developing practical methods that honor the individual. This is what sets our approach apart.
To start ADHD Awareness Month, I'm sharing some of my top resources for parents, teachers, caregivers, and self-advocates. Check them out and share your thoughts!

Need Assistance Finding Your Next Step?
Even with a wealth of information, it can be challenging to decide what action to take. Through NeuroInclusive Consulting, I assist families in navigating IEPs, 504 plans, school supports, and daily challenges. Additionally, I offer consultation and staff training for schools, camps, and community organizations.
A consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your situation, set priorities, and create practical next steps tailored to your child, family, or team.
